Of the 'Mighty Five' National Parks in Utah, Capitol Reef is the least visited.  However, this fact does not mean that it is not an absolutely stunning landscape - because it absolutely is! The night skies that shine over Capitol Reef's landscapes are magnificent.

The high desert landscape of Capitol Reef is nothing short of awe-inspiring and choc full of unique rock formations, high cliffs, and deep canyons. Add in the other-worldly aspects of the Utah badlands areas, and it's truly an astro-landscape photographer's playground!

We would love you to join us for our comprehensive and immersive UNIQUE / Workshop where we will teach you how to photograph Capitol Reef's landscapes and night skies and create beautiful images!  We achieve this goal by making sure our students' needs are top priority and our instruction is both detailed and extensive for all aspects of astro-landscape photography.

No one facilitates workshops like 319 Photography does. Join us and find out why!

WHAT IS THE ACTIVITY LEVEL LIKE?

Our Capitol Reef UNIQUE / Workshops do not require a great deal of hiking / walking.  Usually, our shooting locations only require us to travel less than 1/4 to 1/2 mile from our vehicles.  However, there are some considerations for our students regarding the physical requirements of our workshops and in-field shooting sessions.  Students should be able to:

  • Walk unassisted over uneven terrain while carrying their camera equipment

  • Traverse and manage terrain that includes uneven rocks, loose sand/gravel, and level changes

  • Stand or be on their feet several hours (don't worry, you can bring chairs!)

  • Successfully maneuver and negotiate walking at night by flashlight in a rocky, desert environment

If you have specific questions about the physical aspects of our workshops, contact Tony via email at tony@319photography.com
